Guatemalan artist Mariam Rosales' works are characterized by their multidisciplinary nature. In this collection, she engages in an artistic fusion that transcends the traditional medium of textile embroidery by using paper as the base. The presentation of the pieces is arranged between two sheets of glass on a stand, exposing the intricate weaving of threads on the back of the embroidery, thereby capturing the complexity of Maya cultural art. The textile elements applied to the piece include the Maya cosmovision, their sacred symbols, and decorative elements.
