Kojtom has had more than 118 art exhibitions in countries such as the United States, Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, Brazil, Guatemala, Austria, Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Japan, and various states in Mexico. He has conducted workshops, talks, and conferences at various artistic festivals both within and outside the country and has painted over 20 murals.
In the city of San Cristóbal, he has been the founder of artist collectives such as the "Mayan Plastic Art Group," "Bonbajel Mayaetik A.C" in 2004, and in 2007, the "Mayan Graphics Collective" with the objectives of promoting art as a means of social transformation and the recovery of ancestral knowledge of the Mayan peoples. He has been a promoter of Mayan art for thirty years.
One of his most important murals, "CH'ULEL," is displayed in the City Theater Hermanos Domínguez. The artistic, social, and spiritual work of Master Antún has been documented and studied by researchers from different national and international universities through theses, videos, interviews, newspaper articles, and publications in national and international magazines. He has participated in numerous local, national, and international art festivals and has brought his cultural work to communities in Chiapas and around the world.
For his artistic career, Antún Kojtom was awarded the "Rosario Castellanos Medal" in 2022, the highest honor bestowed by the State Congress of Chiapas to men and women who excel in the arts, science, and humanism.

Description
Mexican artist Antún Kojtom was born in 1969 in the community of Chixaltontic, Tenejapa. He resides in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas. He is a Maya artist: a self-taught painter, a skilled linocut engraver, a draftsman, a muralist, and a farmer. In his work, he develops his own Shamanic style through Ch'ulel, drawing from the forms of ancient Maya spirituality.
